Biomedical Scientist – Neuroscience, Vascular Biology & Molecular Therapeutics

Dr Randy Strauss is a biomedical scientist specializing in neuroscience, vascular biology, and molecular therapeutics.

He holds a PhD in Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).

His expertise encompasses the design of complex experiments, in vivo models, as well as a broad range of advanced techniques in cell and molecular biology.

Hello, I am Dr Randy Strauss.

Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at Virginia Tech, I study neural circuits and molecular mechanisms involved in stress-induced psychiatric behaviors.

My work combines:

  • neurosurgery,
  • optogenetics,
  • confocal imaging,
  • advanced molecular analyses

I have published several scientific articles in specialized journals and presented my research at national and international conferences.

Scientific Expertise at the Service of Health

Alongside my research, I am a certified health and wellness coach.

This training allows me to integrate my biomedical knowledge into personalized guidance, grounded in reliable data, to help individuals optimize their health, nutrition, and stress management.

My approach is based on a simple idea: cutting-edge science must always have a practical application to improve daily life.

Thanks to my dual background in laboratory research and coaching, I excel at making complex concepts accessible and creating health strategies based on the latest research.

A Multidisciplinary and Pragmatic Vision

My goal is to connect:

  • neuroscience,
  • stress biology,
  • nutrition,
  • and lifestyle habits,

To create practical solutions for better understanding and optimizing human health.

I deeply believe that scientific discoveries must be accessible, useful, and applicable, whether for prevention, performance, or emotional balance.
